Dr. Ruth Scanlon
Principal Dentist | BDS NUI
Dr. Ruth Scanlon graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University College Cork and has built extensive experience across both hospital and practice settings. She spent several years working in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at University Hospital Limerick before continuing her career in private practice and within the NHS in Scotland.
After many years practicing in Limerick, Ruth founded Victoria House Dental in 2016, where she continues to lead the clinic with a patient-first approach. She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and endodontics and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Ruth is known for her calm, reassuring manner and her focus on helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment.

Dr. Liadh Hanrahan
Dentist | BDS NUI
Dr. Liadh Hanrahan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University College Cork in 2022. Following her qualification, she gained valuable experience working alongside a specialist orthodontist and as a senior house officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at University Hospital Limerick.
She has completed a Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is a member of the Faculty of Dentistry. Liadh has also developed experience in aesthetic medicine, with a particular interest in anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and skin boosters.
Her approach focuses on delivering natural, balanced results while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for.

Vicky Murphy
Dental Nurse
Vicky is an important part of the clinical team, supporting patient care and assisting across a wide range of treatments. She plays a key role in ensuring each appointment runs smoothly while maintaining a calm and comfortable environment for patients.
Working closely alongside the dentists, Vicky helps prepare for procedures, supports patients throughout their visit, and ensures the highest standards of hygiene and care are consistently upheld within the clinic.
Her attentive and caring approach helps patients feel relaxed and well looked after, particularly those who may feel nervous about visiting the dentist. Vicky takes pride in creating a reassuring and supportive experience for every patient who comes through the door.

João Reichert
Practice Manager/ Dental Nurse
João graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry and began his career practicing in Brazil, where he gained valuable clinical experience across a wide range of treatments.
After travelling to Europe in 2019, he chose to make Ireland his home and joined the Victoria House Dental team in 2021. He has a particular interest in periodontics and is dedicated to providing thorough, patient-focused care, with an emphasis on long-term oral health and prevention. João takes a thoughtful and detailed approach to treatment planning, ensuring each patient fully understands their options and feels confident in their care.
Known for his gentle manner and calm approach, João works closely with patients to create a comfortable and positive experience, helping to put even the most nervous patients at ease.

Benjamin Sanchez
Dental Nurse
Benjamin Sánchez graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery in Mexico, where he gained experience working within dentistry before moving abroad to further develop both personally and professionally.
He is currently based in Ireland and joined the Victoria House Dental team as a Dental Nurse while continuing to develop his English skills and broaden his experience within the profession.
While Benjamin trained as a dentist in Mexico, he is not currently registered to practise dentistry in Ireland.
Benjamin is passionate about oral health and remains committed to continuing his professional development and expanding his knowledge within the dental field.
